This website is essentially a repository of lots of "articles" or "events." Most of these are stored in the Campaign Vault - and accessed via what we call the Schedule & Archives. Even the items under the "Issues" pull down menu, are stored as "articles."
There are several ways to access the bulk of the material on this site.
- You may access these articles using various pages by date & time:
- The Home page
- The items on the home page rotate, but never leave the archive - once an article is removed from the home page, it appears (as it did always while on the home page) in the main Schedule & Archives page
- The Today page
- Since the events & articles get added with a date and time, the Today page simply lists those articles or events that have the current date, and one day before and after the current date.
- The Press Room page
- When an article is added and flagged as a Press Release, it, like all articles goes into the main Schedule & Archive, but these show up as a Press Release.
- The main Schedule page
- On this page, is the current months articles & events. Using the month and day calendar, you may select other months and browse the archives by date and month. This is the default view, but browsing by date is sometime irrelevant to the issue - so
- You may also switch to a Category or Topic view of the same articles.
- What Others Say & Michael's Blog are again, specifically flagged articles - all of which are Searched using the search field, and all of which are in the database, but are conveniently stored by topic (in this case, "What Others Say," or "Media" or as any of the topics listed below in #2).
- The articles are broken down into Categories or Topics as well as given a date and time. Each of the articles is placed in one of the following categories: God | Family | Republic | General | Media | Blog | What Others Say | Campaign
To do certain things on this site, your computer must have some special browser plugins. These are all very common, and in most cases, already on your computer. Quicktime may require a special install, but once you download it, you have access to a world of online video and multimedia content.
Quicktime is not necessary, though. It is only required if you want to watch the videos.
*Note: Neither Quicktime nor the Videos are recommended for modem users (because of the size of the files needed to install, and the size of the videos to watch). |
If you see this

It means that you need to have Apple's Quicktime installed - it is a free download.

If you see this

It may mean that you need to have Adobe's Acrobat Reader installed - it is a free download.
Most of the time, though, Printer Friendly pops open a new browser window, and you can just Print as you normally would.

If you see this

It means there is audio available - and will be in the .mp3 format. Many players handle this - including Quicktime. It should play in your browser, but depending on what you have installed, .mp3's can be played in Windows Media Player, WinAmp, Sonique (and others). You may always download this file and play it later.

| To view the intro, and thenews ticker on several of the pages, you need the Flash Player |
This free technology is included in all current operating systems. If you can't see the intro or the headline ticker (at the top of some pages), make sure you have the latest version of the Flash Player. |
Whenever you download a .zip file (such as the Media Kit) you must unzip (or uncompress) it. Usually, once you have downloaded the file, you can just double click the file, and if you have a zip utility installed, it will uncompress the archive for you. If you cannot unzip the file (Win 95/98 users), try the Freezip utility.
There are many other free alternatives for unzipping an archive. Try VerisionTracker for updates and other utilities.
